Hey there and welcome to the “about” page.   My name is Vernon Kesner, and I’m the creator of Choose Daily.  This year I took the plunge into the corporate world after 8 years of freelancing and now I’m a front end web developer in Charlotte, NC.

Choose Daily is essentially a repository of a variety of helpful resources, tutorials, articles and freebies for web designers and developers. I know what it’s like to sort through tons of RSS feeds and, though I’m sure you’ll still use your feed reader, I compile what I believe to be the best links and resources for you to easily grab here.

You’ll find information about jQuery, CodeIgniter and more to help you become a better developer today than you were yesterday. In our life, it’s all about taking at least one new step every day. Here at Choose Daily, I believe it’s our responsibility (us as humanity) to choose every day to become better today than we were yesterday (both personally and professionally).

At Home

At home, I am a husband and father of 3 amazing kids.  My wife, Ashley, loves fitness and is on the road to becoming a personal trainer.  She was actually in Oxygen Magazine (a fitness magazine for women) in their Future of Fitness section for the March 2009 issue.  I enjoy exercising and living healthy, but she takes it to a whole different level.

My kids are the heartbeat of my life.  I have a son who is my oldest and two daughters separated by a little over a year.  There’s nothing like spending time with the kids whether for a hike in the woods, a movie on the couch, or a game of Wii.
